International buyers seek blocks and slabs in Northwestern Espírito Santo

Business Matchmaking Event in Barra de São Francisco to Bring Together Representatives from Three Markets Across the Americas and Oceania

Three international buyers from Australia, the United States, and Mexico will visit Barra de São Francisco, in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo, from October 19 to 23 for a business agenda involving 11 Brazilian natural stone companies. Located in the northwestern part of the state, the city is one of Espírito Santo’s leading granite production hubs and is home to companies affected by the additional tariffs imposed by the United States on certain Brazilian exports.

The Barra de São Francisco Business Matchmaking Event is part of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, a project developed by the Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

“Bringing buyers from different markets to Barra de São Francisco is a way to create new business opportunities in a region that has been directly affected by the current trade situation with the United States. Our work involves expanding Brazilian companies’ presence in other markets while continuing to strengthen their position in established markets. The participation of buyers from three countries in this event reflects that strategy,” says Tales Machado, president of Centrorochas.

The invited buyers are seeking blocks and slabs, ranging from standard to exotic materials. For some participants, the event will provide their first opportunity for direct commercial contact with Brazilian suppliers. The business meetings will take place on October 20 at Cerimonial Bresciani. The program also includes visits to local companies and quarrying sites, offering participants an opportunity to learn about stone processing operations and the diversity of Brazilian materials.

Participating Companies

The event will bring together 11 Brazilian natural stone companies from different municipalities across Espírito Santo. Barra de São Francisco, the host city, accounts for five participants: Argos, Comil, Fortuna, Gramazini, and Vilarinho.

Other participating companies include Granex do Brasil and Guidoni, from São Domingos do Norte; Graniti, from Nova Venécia; Monte Negro, from João Neiva; and Pemagran and Yellow Stone, from Cachoeiro de Itapemirim.
