Architects and designers with international careers performed on the stage of the Vitoria Stone Fair

Nine professionals with consolidated careers in the international market were in Brazil for an agenda at the Vitoria Stone Fair, the largest fair of the segment in the Americas, which took place from February 7th to 10th in Espirito Santo. The group came at the invitation of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, a project to encourage exports of ornamental stones from Brazil conducted by the Brazilian Center for Natural Stones Exporters (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

These were intense days of content that showed the versatility and sustainability of the stones.

The American architect Craig Copeland, who works at Pelli Clarke & Partners in New York – USA, with an impact performance in several cities and communities around the world, brought several examples of the applicability of the stones and their importance in the current construction.

The Italian designer Raffaello Galiotto, one of the biggest names in stone design today and author of the Visionary Stone exhibition at Marmomac, brought all his expertise in designing and processing stone, enchanting everyone present.

The Italian architect Samuele Sordi, who works as chief architect officer at Pininfarina of America in Miami – USA, presented an important panel of works from one of the most respected architectural firms in the world and showed how natural stone can compose beautiful projects.

The architect from Argentina Luciano Scuseria from BMA Arquitetos e Associados brought a look at how ornamental stones can be applied in different ways in architecture.

The Germans Hermann Graser and Reiner Krug, respectively President and CEO of the German Natural Stone Association (DNV) presented the study “Sustainability of Natural Stone – Life Cycle Assessment of Floors and Facades”. In different contexts, the professionals showed how natural stone stands out as the most sustainable product to be applied in buildings and in the urban environment.

The actions developed by It’s Natural have provided the promotion of Brazilian stones abroad and several benefits to the sector, such as the interaction of the businessmen with great world personalities, promoting the improvement of the national segment, stimulating the generation of contents and creating opportunities for continuous evolution.

The It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone is an export incentive program developed by the Brazilian Center of Natural Stones Exporters (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).
