Brazilian stone industry promotes materials at an “art gallery”-style stand in Dubai

The power and versatility of Brazilian natural stones were the highlight of the It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone and the Brazilian Center of Natural Stone Exporters (Centrorochas) booth during The Big 5, the most important construction fair for the Middle East market, held from December 5th to 8th in Dubai. The space was conceived by the architect Vivian Coser, who created a true art gallery composed of products provided by the companies supported by the sectorial project.

On the first day of the event, the business director of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), Lucas Fiuza, and the interim ambassador of Brazil in Abu Dhabi, Eliana Zugaib, visited the space and praised the structure set up. They were welcomed by the vice-president of Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, and by the manager of It’s Natural*, Rogério Ribeiro.

During the four days of the fair, the booth received visitors from several Middle Eastern countries. “This is the most important construction fair for the Middle Eastern market. Last year we were here as visitors and held a lecture for local stone specifiers. Due to the relevance of Dubai for the region, we decided to participate more actively”, said Ribeiro, explaining about the connections created and how they can generate opportunities to expand Brazilian exports in the segment.

Lecture shows Brazil’s potential

Besides having the largest geological diversity in the world, Brazil has a large industrial park for the supply of blocks, finished products, semi-finished products, works of art, design, architecture, among others. These and other characteristics were presented to the visitors of The Big 5, at Theatre 5, Za’abeel Hall 6, during the lecture “Get to Know the power of the Brazilian Stones” conducted by Fabio Cruz and by the international stone specifier, Paulo Giafarov. At the meeting, they presented all the potential of the country that, thanks to the technological capacity of production, sees its Brazilian stones go through modern and environmentally sustainable processes.

“More than 95% of all the water used in the production process is totally reused”, pointed Cruz. “We can say, without a doubt, that our materials surprise with their colors, textures, patterns, and finishing quality,” added Giafarov, who, during the lecture, also talked about the possibilities of use and creation with the national materials.

Check out the materials used at the It’s Natural and Centrorochas’ booth. The machining of the space was done by the Brazilian designer Araciene Pessim, from Áquila Stone Design:

– Acqua Gucci (from Margramar): shiny stone, which promotes comfort and sophistication to projects.

Avocatus (from Magban): with varying colors in shades of greenish gray and olive green, with yellowish green dots, it is a very exotic stone.

Alba Pietra (from Qualita Group): A noble dolomitic marble. Resistant, it gives elegance and originality to various environments.

Apollo (from Cajugram): quartzite with unique movements. White with touches of gray in its veins.

Mont Bleu (from Stonebank): Beautiful quartzite, used in the brises that form the map of Brazil. In beige tone and blue nuances, it stands out as a beautiful material to compose environments that value sophisticated natural stones.

Polaris (by Gramazini): noble stone that uses the book-match technique to enhance its natural veins and vibrant tones.

* It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, a project for the promotion of Brazilian stones abroad, is in the contract renewal phase between its executing entity, the Brazilian Center of Natural Stone Exporters (Centrorochas), and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). As a way of giving continuity to the image of the segment at the international level and maintaining the promotional actions started, this action was carried out directly by Centrorochas.
