Centrorochas and ApexBrasil promote a lecture about Brazilian stones in New York

Occupying the first place in the world ranking in geological diversity with more than 1,200 varieties of materials, the Brazilian natural stones will be highlighted during the Casa Brasil New York 2022 show that will take place between May 11th and 25th. On the 16th, at 7:15pm, the lecture “Meet the power of Brazilian stones” will take place, given by the international specifier, Paulo Giafarov. The event is promoted by the Brazilian Center of Natural Stones Exporters (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), through the sectoral project It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone.

 

According to the vice-president of Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, the lecture aims at disclosing the potential of the national stone sector to the specifiers present at the show. “Besides the extraction potential, the country has a large manufacturing park to supply finished and semi-finished products, works of art, design, architecture, among others. The privilege of having large mineral reserves allows for large-scale production to meet demands in large volumes”, he pointed out. Thanks to the technological production capacity, the Brazilian stones go through modern and environmentally sustainable processes. More than 95% of all the water used in the production process is totally reused.

 

“We can say, without a doubt, that our materials are surprising for their colors, textures, patterns and finishing quality”, says the international natural stones specifier Paulo Giafarov, who will also highlight, in his lecture, the possibilities of use and creation with the national materials.

 

Besides the lecture on May 16th, the Brazilian sector of natural stones will also participate, on May 14th, in the Technical Seminar with Specifiers. The national participation in Casa Brasil New York 2022 also takes place through the segment’s companies that will be exhibiting exclusive design pieces in the show. CF Stones

A trio of pieces that together form a centerpiece 1.15 meters long and 30 centimeters wide, developed as a result of geometric calculations, the result of an algorithm created by designer Ludson Zampirolli. The piece is part of the “Tray” collection and was developed with CNC technology, Computer Numeric Control, a system that allows the control of machines, in the processing of stones by cutting, thinning, and lowering from 2D and 3D projects, which are transformed into tailor-made design and architecture pieces. Made of White Marble with green inlays in a single cut and extracted in Espirito Santo.

 

Samuel de Almeida + Pemagran

A set of five pieces with distinct sizes named ‘It’s One’, created by designer Samuel de Almeida. Pieces made of Verde Vitória hard granite, from the company Pemagran and extracted in Bahia. The pieces together weigh an average of 355 kg.
