The vice-president of Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, was received by the Brazilian ambassador in Abu Dhabi, Eliana Zugaib, during a visit to the representative office of the Brazilian government in the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting also brought together the project manager of Centrorochas and leader of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, Rogério Ribeiro; Nadia El Kadre, representative of the Trade Promotion Section (SECOM), in Abu Dhabi; and the international specifier of natural stones, Paulo Giafarov.
The meeting was based on the importance of Brazil for the natural stone world scenario, highlighting its production capacity, geodiversity, and the necessity to implement environmental certifications. Besides the global relevance of the theme, Middle East has started to demand the fulfillment of the so-called “green protocols”.
“We had an excellent gathering with several important insights. We also talked about logistical resources, the need for constant presence of Brazil in the region and the local unawareness of the potential of Brazilian stones”, Fabio Cruz detailed after the agenda. “Both the Embassy and SECOM are available to improve the presence of the stone sector in the region and increase the demand for Brazilian products. One of the actions we must take, still in the first semester of 2023, is an institutional mission encompassing the Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia”, he concluded.
