Brazilian natural stones attracted the attention of architects participating in the Bond Events Arc US 2022, the largest edition of the brand in the United States, held in Arizona, from November 17th to 20th. Brazil was represented by the Brazilian Center of Natural Stones Exporters (Centrorochas) and It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone*, a project to promote Brazilian natural stones abroad.
Bond Events is known for connecting suppliers with designers and architectural firms responsible for major projects around the world, through business rounds and mini lectures. The Brazilian stone sector was showcased during six meetings with about 60 reference professionals from the North American market. The vice-president of Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, and the international specifier specialized in Brazilian ornamental stones, Paulo Giafarov, had the opportunity to present the Brazilian stone arrangements, highlighting all the geological diversity, the strong points and the possibilities of use of the national products. Each presentation gathered, on average, ten professionals.
“There were several meetings, in which we had the opportunity to present, to selected groups, Brazil’s potential not only for the privilege of having large mineral reserves and geodiversity, but also to talk about our know-how in extraction, in the manufacturing park and, more than that, the competence that some companies have already acquired to supply large projects”, Fabio Cruz pointed out.
(*) Project to promote Brazilian natural stones abroad, It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone is run by the Brazilian Center of Natural Stones Exporters (Centrorochas), with support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). In the contract renewal phase, the presence of the country at the event was an action carried out directly by the executing entity, as a way to continue with the promotion of the image of the segment internationally and to maintain the actions started during the period the agreement was in force.
