Members of the Stone Federation Great Britain are delighted with Brazilian stone

After a 25% increase in Brazilian exports to the United Kingdom in 2021, when compared to the previous year, resulting in a total of 28 million dollars in sales, the commercial connection between the two countries registered a new and important step on August 25th, when the members of the National Stone Federation Great Britain received representatives from the Brazilian Center for Natural Stones Exporters (Centrorochas) and were able to see the potential of the national stone sector.

At the meeting held in London, the Vice-President of Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, the entity’s Project Manager, Rogério Ribeiro, and the Stone Specifier, Paulo Giafarov, made a presentation highlighting the geological characteristics and the operational capacity of Brazil. They also approached the actions of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, a project for international promotion of the sector, executed by Centrorochas in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). Among those present were the former president of the International Federation, David Richardson, and the Managing Director, Bruno Miglio.

“Besides the extraction potential, Brazil has a large manufacturing park to supply finished and semi-finished products, works of art, design, architecture, among others. The privilege of having large mineral reserves allows for large-scale production to meet demands in large volumes,” said Fabio Cruz. Thanks to the technological production capacity, the Brazilian stones go through modern and environmentally sustainable processes. More than 95% of all the water used in the production process is reused.

“We can say, without a doubt, that our materials surprise with their colors, textures, patterns, and finishing quality”, added the international natural stones specifier Paulo Giafarov, who also highlighted the possibilities of use and creation with the national natural materials.

The Manager of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, Rogério Ribeiro, reinforced the importance of this agenda, which can influence the consumption of Brazilian stones in countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar. “The United Kingdom is seen as a strategically important commercial partner for Brazil, since it has a large architectural center, responsible for most of the new developments in the Middle East”, he concluded.

By the way, the meeting at the Stone Federation Great Britain happened as part of the agenda of the representatives of the Brazilian stone sector in London, due to Casa Brasil London, a project idealized by ApexBrasil and dedicated to reinforcing the position of Brazilian products, providing activations and business relationship actions. The show is happening until September 7th and, among other national products, pieces with exclusive designs made of natural materials extracted in Brazil are being displayed. They are:

– Áquila Stone Design

Two pieces idealized and designed by the designer and specialist in natural stones from Áquila Stone Design, Araciene Pessin. The pieces are support accessories for gourmet countertops and were created using the waterjet system. One is composed of Mont Bleu quartzite (Stonebank) and Blue Agate inlay (Mineral Brazil); the other was produced in Exotic Volcano granite (Gramobras) and Havanna Green quartzite (Santo Antônio).

– Brasigran

Quartz tables created by the designer Luciano Santelli in Vitória Regia marble for Brasigran. The pieces were produced with waterjet cutting technology, a high-precision process that allows the assembly of the slabs only by fitting them together.
