Middle East architects are enchanted by Brazilian stones at event in Abu Dhabi

With more than 1,200 varieties of ornamental stones, Brazil is a world leader in geological diversity. All this potentiality called the attention of architects and designers who attended the 2022 edition of the Bond Events Arc Middle East, held from December 10th to 13th, in Abu Dhabi. The national performance happened through presentations promoted by It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone and by the Brazilian Center of Natural stones Exporters (Centrorochas), in partnership with the national agency.

The lecture “Get to Know the power of Brazilian stones”, conducted by the vice-president of Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, and by the international stone specifier, Paulo Giafarov, was attended by about 60 professionals responsible for the specification of materials in large constructions in several countries in the Middle East.

At the meeting, they presented all the Brazilian potential that, thanks to the technological production capacity, sees its stones go through modern and environmentally sustainable processes. “More than 95% of all the water used in the production process is totally reused,” said Cruz.

Besides having the largest geological diversity in the world, Brazil has a large industrial park for the supply of blocks, finished and semi-finished products, works of art, design, architecture, among others. “There are countless possibilities of use and creation from the Brazilian stones. We can say, without a doubt, that our materials surprise with their colors, textures, patterns, and finishing quality”, added Giafarov.

Bond Events is known for connecting suppliers with designers and large architectural firms responsible for projects around the world, through business rounds and mini lectures. During the Abu Dhabi edition, eight lectures on Brazilian stones were held with groups of up to 12 people and presentation of the national segment.

The manager of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone*, Rogério Ribeiro, also participated in the action and reinforced that it is part of one of the objectives of the sectorial project, which is to encourage national exports. “Our participation was very positive, given the capacity to reach the number of relevant professionals directly reached in such a short period of time and with such great interaction”, he evaluated.

 

* It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, a project for the promotion of Brazilian stones abroad, is in the contract renewal phase between its executing entity, the Brazilian Center of Natural Stone Exporters (Centrorochas), and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). As a way of giving continuity to the image of the segment at the international level and maintaining the promotional actions started, this action was carried out directly by Centrorochas.
